Beauty Shower

Where the bride and her bridesmaids pampered themselves in a spa, getting a facial, massage and their nails done. A real threat!

Darcy suggests “a weekend with the bridesmaids in a beach house, a downtown hotel or a cabin by a lake.” A true get-together with your closest ones.

Friday Inspirational day: Looking back at History!

Already one week after the Royal Wedding, and we’re still excited about it! Like we said before, it’s a turning point for the wedding fashion industry, and we can already hear most of the brides looking for this similar Royal look. For this Friday’s Inspirational day, looking back over Royal Weddings through history, we can say that Kate’s wedding dress honoured Royal tradition through the ages, but still add a perfect touch!  We know that some people wanted to see her in a more fashion wedding dress, but keep in mind that  she could not appear with something more different than that look. Did you expect her to show up with a Lady Gaga look, or some deep cleavage? :)  I don’t think so, because it will be then, a huge fashion faux pas for her position and for tradition. The lace, the sleeves and the gown style were just perfect for the occasion.  Now back to the Conservative Chic Royal look!

Until then, Happy Planning in Style and HAPPY MOTHER WEEK! :)

Turning point in the Wedding Fashion Industry!

How great it is to do this post for our Friday’s Inspirational day…. The wait is over! The new trend for brides has been set by Kate. She wore an Alexander McQueen designed by Sarah Burton! It was reported by cbcnews.com that the palace said in a statement: ” Miss Middleton wished for her dress to combine tradition and modernity”

And she looked AMAZING! A stunning ivory satin bodice with long lace sleeves and a deep V-neckline, narrowed at the waist and padded at her hips with a Victorian corsetry. And OMG, did you see the details on the back? So many organza buttons. Kate is a natural beauty!

I’m looking forward for a more formal trend now for the future brides with of course, a Royal touch! What did you think of Kate’s wedding dress? Feel free to comment on this post, or our poll on Facebook www.facebook.com/martinechery2

Until then, Happy Planning and DRESSING in style!
